Family Communication
Brightwheel is used for daily reports, classroom messages, photographs, activity updates, announcements, reminders, tuition information, and emergency or closure notifications. Families must maintain current telephone numbers, email addresses, emergency contacts, medical information, and authorized pick-up information.
Secure Entry & Authorized Pick-Up
Exterior doors remain secured. Approved families receive entry information through Brightwheel, and a buzz-in option is available. Entry codes must never be shared. Children are released only to a parent, guardian, or authorized person, and government-issued identification may be required. Written notice is required for an alternate pick-up.

Families must notify the program of allergies, medical conditions, medications, dietary restrictions, accommodations, or changes affecting their child’s health and safety.
Nutrition
Children receive nutritious meals and snacks. They say a blessing before eating. A typical schedule includes morning snack from 9:30–10:00 a.m., lunch from 12:30–1:00 p.m., and afternoon snack from 3:30–4:15 p.m. Meals include appropriate food components, and documented allergies, dietary restrictions, and reasonable accommodations are considered.
Arrival and Separation
A short, loving, and consistent goodbye helps children transition. Families are encouraged to follow a predictable routine, offer a hug, kiss, and smile, say goodbye clearly, remind the child they will return, and leave without prolonged lingering. Teachers provide comfort and support until the child settles.
Open-Door Philosophy
Parents and guardians are welcome to visit during operating hours, subject to safety and security procedures. Visits should consider classroom routines, activities, and nap times.
Weather and Emergency Closures
Nora’s Angels may consider federal government and Prince George’s County Public Schools announcements but makes an independent decision based on conditions affecting the center. Families receive closure, delay, or early-dismissal notices through Brightwheel or another designated method.
